The advent of the COVID-19 pandemic saw a decline in social interaction. As an ode to honest
conversations, I resorted to the traditional means of communication– postcards – for when people are
far away but still want to remain in touch. Hues of grey, blue and ochre poster shades add a certain
vintage texture that extend different responses.
My quarantine primarily consisted of:
- Immunity- giving more attention to my health by researching home remedies like
badam (almond), black salt, and herbal tea recipes.
- Family- spending time with my family by playing lots of chess (the fallen queen
represents my mother when she had covid and the leash symbolizes our beloved dog Neo).
- Creativity- the cookie dough doubling as play dough to symbolise my lifelong
hobby of art and newfound love for cooking in covid.
